Carrot halwa recipe

We are back with another cooking recipe as a part of our food series. This time, guess what? 

It is about carrots🥕. 

Carrot is a vegetable that we all love. So, why not add some sweetness to it? Yes, In this article, we will make a sweet dish from carrots called the Carrot Halwa. 

This post will provide step by step procedure to make the dish. Make sure you read it till the end. 



INGREDIENTS: 

  1. Carrots - 3 in numbers (preferably 1/2kg)
  2. Cardomom - 6 in numbers 
  3. Dry grapes - around 10
  4. Cashews - 3 to 4
  5. Sugar
  6. Ghee 
  7. Milk - 1/2 glass 

COOKING UTENSILS NEEDED:

  1. Peeler
  2. Carrot slicer 
  3. Frying pan (larger size)
  4. Frying pan (smaller size) 
  5. Mixer grinder
Now, let's cook the dish! 

THE PROCEDURE: 

  1.  Take the carrots and peel them. 
      2.   After peeling it, slice the peeled carrots. 


     3. Now, place all the sliced pieces of carrot in a cup and keep it aside.



     4. Take a pan and add the following things to the pan in order with a gap of 3-5 seconds. Make sure you have lightened your gas in low flame. 
  1. One spoon ghee 
  2. The sliced carrot pieces
  3. Half glass of milk
            

    5. Fry this mixture for five minutes.  

    6. Now, take a mixer grinder. Add one cup of sugar and some cardamoms and blend it. You will get a white-colored powdered mass.



   7. Add the white powdered mass to the mixture of sliced pieces of carrot.





   

   8. Roast dry grapes and cashews together with the presence of ghee in a smaller pan for 8-10 seconds.



   9.  Now, add the roasted mixture of dry grapes and cashews to the carrot mixture. 

  10.  Fry the mixture and wait for five minutes. 

Yess! Now our carrot halwa is ready to eat.
